Weekly ferry service to Gustavus Alaska
Commencing in 2011 the Alaska Marine ferry le Comte will provide twice weekly service Juneau to Gustavus Alaska.

The ferry to Gustavus will take between 3 -5 hrs depending on the date.

The ferry cost, one way, per person is approximately 33.00 USD
Gustavus is known as the gateway to the Glacier National Park
It is here that some of the most spectacular scenery in Alaska can be enjoyed

Technical issues resulting from a hardware failure have resulted the
shutdown of the Alaska Marine ferry online reservation system.

Since 01 January 2011 ferry schedule, fare and booking information has
 been unavailable from the Alaska Marine site however system officials
 advise that they expect the site to be functioning prior to weeks' end

Bellingham Washington to Whittier Alaka to Kodiak Island

Bellingham Washington to Whittier Alaska to Kodiak Island
May 2011 will see the introduction of the MV Kennicott providing direct
 cross-gulf servicefrom Bellingham, WA to the port of Whittier.
Whittier is approximately 60 miles south of Anchorage.
The cross-gulf ferry will stop in Ketchikan, Juneau and
Yakutat on the way to Whittier and will then continue on to
provide connecting service from Whittier to Kodiak Island
