5 separate ferry operators provide visitors and residents with the luxury of choosing from traditional ferries, high-speed ferries, passenger-only ferries and passenger-vehicle vessels to travel to & from Victoria.

Three (3) ferry systems travel from Washington State directly to Victoria. (Valid passports are required for all X-border travel)
- Clipper Vacation ferries travel from Seattle to Victoria (downtown to downtown)
-The Blackball ferry travels from Port Angeles to Victoria (downtown to downtown)
-The Washington State ferry has traditionally travelled from Anacortes to Sidney (Sidney is about. 20 mins from Victoria)  however due to staff shortages, this route has been discontinued for 2022. Call 1-206-464-6400 for more information

The newest "ferry on the dock" is Hullo a high-speed passenger-only ferry service plying t its route between downtown Nanaimo and downtown Vancouver.

One ferry system, BC Ferries travels south to Victoria and north to Nanaimo (mid-way on Vancouver Island) from 2 ferry terminals located on the Vancouver mainland.

Visiting British Columbia's Capitol is a treat at any time - but the combination of shoulder season hotel prices and ferry specials make Victoria a particular bargain October thru April.
