At 36,000 acres Orcas is the largest of the San Juan Islands and some consider it to be the most spectacular.

Orcas Island is made up of small towns and villages: Eastsound with a performing arts center, wonderful dining, boutiques and art galleries is the center of Island activity.
Orcas Village, Westsound and Deer Harbor each with their own identity are located on the west side

Miles of trails, inviting lakes, spectacular vistas, biking, hiking, beach combing, kayaking, golfing and whale watching excursions are only some of the activities that make the Island a favourite holiday destination.
From May-September the popular Farmers' Market is a great place to spend time

Accommodation on Orcas -from Resorts to B&B to Cottages is plentiful and many properties represent the finest lodging available in the Northwest - but reservations absolutely must be made in advance of arrival.
Although sleeping under the stars can be great in the summer...it's not much fun if unplanned !

No reservations are available for ferry service to Orcas Island.
Reservations are however required from the Orcas to Sidney BC, and they are available only through Washington State Ferries at 206-464-6400
