Canada Set to Open Borders August 09

Good News for US Ferry Travellers Passing Through Canada To Alaska

Current word is that beginning 09 August 2021, fully vaccinated U.S. citizens will be allowed to travel to, or through Canada, for vacations and other non-essential travel.

Be aware however that there are 4 very specific conditions.
1)  travellers must have received their vaccine at least 14 days before arriving at the border.
2) travellers must provide all COVID-19 related information electronically through the ArriveCAN app or web portal.
3) Travellers must provide physical proof of completed vaccinations (paper card) at the border crossing.
4) All travellers 18 years and older, must present a current passport.

Fully vaccinated travellers are not required to take a new COVID-19 test prior to arrival at the border, however be aware that border agents may randomly select travellers for testing.

NOTE:  Canadians are not yet permitted to enter Alaska by road.
