Alaska Barge Restrictions

Barging Between Alaska & Washington
New barging rules prohibit the transportation of anything on the outside of a vehicle.
 This means roof racks should be empty; bike racks etc on the font or back of a vehicle should be empty etc etc.
The reasoning behind these rules is that insurance will not cover damage of anything except the vehicle itself.

To book barge space or for further clarification on barge restrictions call 1-800-686-0446

Ferry Booking Issue

Booking Issue When Booking 2 RVs
Be aware that a glitch occurs when someone tries to either book or get a quote for 2 vehicles in the RV category.
The Get Quote or Book Here engine delivers a SPACE LIMITED reply which may be incorrect.
To accurately complete the quote OR to complete a booking with for example 2 RVs, enter one RV under the passenger vehicle category (but use the correct length) and enter the other vehicle as an RV, -again ensuring you use the correct length.

ACCURATE VEHICLE DETAILS ARE ESSENTIAL TO SECURE ACCURATE FERRY OR BARGE PRICING

DO NOT QUESS at Vehicle Dimensions or Descriptions;

Costs for transporting a vehicle either by ferry or by barge, are always based on the vehicle type, length, height and width.
Do not guess.
Accurate dimensions can be found by going to Google and entering the year, make and model of any vehicle.
Google usually provides  vehicle dimensions in inches which must then be divided by 12 to get the accurate foot length.
If the wrong vehicle description is provided for a either a quote or a booking, the cost will change to reflect the accurate vehicle description and dimensions.  Often a guess is undersized & nothing is worse than getting a call to say you owe +++ dollars because on arrival at the terminal or yard, the vehicle does not match the quote and money is owed.

If unsure of the accuracy of your measurements or description, email us at info@ferrytravel.com or call us at 1-800-686-0446
